This event is a fundraiser for Cowee School Arts & Heritage Center, a vibrant hub for culture & art in the Southern Appalachians.

Built in 1943 on the site of a former Civilian Conservation Corps camp, the Cowee School educated area youth for nearly seven decades. The historic structure, the heart of Cowee-Wests Mills Historic District and the hub of the Nikwasi-Cherokee Cultural Corridor is now an arts and heritage center serving Western North Carolina residents and visitors.

Located within a half mile of thousands of years of history, from ancient Cowee Mound to the Rickman Store, the Cowee School Arts and Heritage Center promotes the teaching and preservation of the cultural and artistic heritage of the Southern Appalachians and Cherokee people.

They will begin serving at 6:30am and end full-service at 11:00am. The menu includes breakfast sandwiches (biscuit, egg, cheese, sausage), oatmeal & toppings, fresh fruit, coffee and juice.
